No, it should also work in English and is available in the UK and US Alexa Stores as "Robonect lawnmower".
For further info, see: https://robonect.michael-eckel.de/?lang=en
Which commands are currently supported?
- "Alexa, start lawn mower" or "Alexa, ask lawn mower for the Status" to request the current Status
- "Alexa, tell lawn mower to set the mode to Auto|manual|home|end of day" to set the mode to Auto|manual|home|end of day
- "Alexa, tell lawn mower to call it a day" to set the mode to end of day
- "Alexa, tell lawn mower to start mowing" to assign a job and set the mode to end of day afterwards
- "Alexa, tell lawn mower to start mowing for x minutes" to assign a job for x minutes and set the mode to end of day afterwards
- "Alexa, ask lawn mower for help" sends a list of commands and your Alexa-ID to your Alexa app

Remote access does not seem to work. Is port forwarding necessary? I dont like exposing the device to the internet...

What do you mean with "remote access does not seem to work"? That would be a general Robonect problem best be asked in General questions.

As far as I can tell, remote access sometimes has connectivity problems (I have experienced them twice in the last 4 weeks), but they disappear again very quickly. Generally, remote access seems to work pretty well actually.

What you need to do is enable it at the Robonect-Interface "Robonect"/"Fernzugriff" through the checkbox and select an access name, see here:

Also username/password at the Robonect-Interface "Robonect"/"Benutzer" have be to set in order to enable remote access.

You should be able to access your mower by typing http://yourselectedaccessname.mower.online in any webbrowser.

Then, on the Alexa skills account linking website, when selecting "Robonect module with mower.online access" at "Type of robotic lawn mower", just enter the access name (without .mower.online).

That should be working.

Other method the Alexa skill can use to access the mower would be to setup port forwarding and DynDNS, which I would not recommend, because it requires some knowledge to setup and bears security issues if done wrong.

Either way, the mower will communicate with the Internet, Alexa skills always perform requests through the Internet, even though the Echo device seems to be local.

I mean, remote access always throws a connection failed error.
That’s why I was asking whether it needs port forwarding (which I don’t want).
Will look into the firewall logs when home next weekend and in case report back.
Thanks

When using the remote Service, no portforwarding in the router is necessary.

Sounds like you cannot access your mower by typing http://yourselectedaccessname.mower.online in a webbrowser?
If that does not work, surely Alexa access to the remote Service will not work either.
In this case, however, it would not be a skill-related problem and also something I cannot help you with. You should seek help in the general question forum mentioned in my earlier post.
